Technology Self-Survey

Course Description:

The Instructional Technology Course will focus on current educational theory and practice using common technologies available for education.  Activities will include the use of email and Internet access for classroom interactions; selecting appropriate technology resources; designing multimedia and web resources; and incorporating scanners, digital cameras and other technology devices into a lesson or project.  The development of a Curriculum Based Technology Integration Project will require graduate level research, writing, and planning skills.

 

Textbook:  Building Treehouses for Learning:  Technology in Today’s Classroom Fourth Edition, by Annette Lamb; ISBN# 1-891917-08-0. 

 

Required Materials:  3-ring binder to hold all materials and 1 package of dividers (8-10)

 

Essential Learnings
  • Participants will plan lessons and learning environments that include technology and multiple intelligences.
  • Participants will evaluate software, video, and other technology related resources for classroom use.
  • Participants will design and develop technology resources to support student learning.
 
Assessment

 

Grading will be on a 10-point scale.  90-100 = A, 80-89 = B, 70-79 = C,

60-69 = D, below 60 = F
